After the death of his wife and daughter, Kole was irreparably broken. He publicly denounced the United Planetary Alliance (U.P.A.) and blamed them for not doing enough to protect their transport ship against attack. For his statements, he was charged with insubordination and defamation. Facing a dishonorable discharge and a prison sentence, Kole managed to avoid detainment and fled.
Losing both his family and his ties to the military men and women he used to call brother and sister, Kole felt he had nothing left to live for. He went on a spree of self-destruction, spending his days and nights recklessly engaged in excessive drinking, fighting, and whoring, hoping that someone or something would come along and put him out of his misery.
On one particular drunken night, while in a seedy red light district somewhere on Earth, Kole came across a marquee advertising a sexual experience with an artificial intelligence life-form dubbed “Caerulia”. Coincidentally, the name of the AI happened to be the same name of the terraformed planet that Kole’s wife and daughter were headed to when their transport was attacked and destroyed. Kole’s heart would allow him no respite from the penance owed for their deaths, and in his drunken stupor he saw this as a sign. In a perverted sense of sorrow and suffering, he found himself stumbling into the AI facility, stinking drunk, to have his first sexual encounter with this AI.
This is the account of Kole’s encounter with an AI named Caerulia.
What is “The Dossier Series“?
The Dossier Series is the label applied to image sets, which feature character and story tie-ins to the Epoch Art comics.
